Cooperative Information Technology
A large part of all processes in KIT spans both decentralized and centralized units and uses the IT infrastructure as a platform. Ideally, for each of these processes, the division of tasks and responsibilities between functionalities and IT infrastructure as well as between central and decentralized units is clarified—with the objective of high productivity.
This ideal case is currently not given in many cases. In addition, those involved in the processes would ideally be integrated into the associated “service management” according to their role. A well-functioning cooperative system should take into account, for example, information risk management, IT workstation support models, the connection of decentralized systems to central administrative systems, the reduction of “shadow IT” and software procurement.
