Digitalization in Research and Innovation
KIT's digital information processing and supply supports the performance of research at an international level and significantly promotes innovation. Excellent framework conditions enable outstanding research achievements and a vital culture of innovation.
It enables scientists to develop and establish digital scientific processes, methods and procedures.
The Steering Committee for Digitalization in Research and Innovation identifies needs, prioritizes and drives digitalization topics. These include research data management (RDM, in particular the implementation of the FAIR Data Principles), high-performance computing (HPC) and data-intensive computing (DIC) as well as open access transformation.
The University of Excellence project Research Data Management (RDM) supports the further expansion of research data management at KIT. Several pilot projects contribute to the broad-based digitalization of research processes in the field of RDM.
